Do you feel like you don’t belong anywhere? Maybe you feel like you’re not good enough. Or not queer enough. Maybe you feel like you don’t fit into queer spaces. Are you a queer person in a heterosexual presenting relationship and needing a space to feel valid in who you are in your sexual identity? Perhaps you feel like you don’t fit into straight spaces. Are you a teen or young adult navigating the world and your identity? Perhaps you were designated female at birth but want to explore your social presentation. Perhaps you don’t fit into the box assigned to you by society, family, trauma(s) you experienced, anxiety, and/or depression. Maybe you’re a person that just wants to explore who you are. I‘m here to help support you as you begin to explore who you are as your true, authentic self.
My clients come to me and stay with me because I provide a space where you can just be you. I am a therapist who is LGBTQIA2S-affirming and sex worker-friendly. I understand that there are therapists who have invalidated your experiences. You deserve a therapist that hears you and sees you. I have lived experience in not being seen or heard. I know how isolating it feels. I’ve also been where you are right now. I have experienced therapy both as a client and now as a clinician. In sharing this, my hope is that you realize that you’re not alone. Healing happens in community and that community can be the therapeutic relationship. Take comfort in knowing that who you are is more important than what others want you to be. And even if you don’t believe that now, we can work together to get you there.
Since you are the architect of your life, your lived experience is the most valuable tool that we have as we begin to identify the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that no longer serve the true, authentic you. You are the guide in the therapy process. My role as your therapist is to collaborate with you and meet you where you are. Because every client and their therapy goals are different, I work with each client to meet those unique goals. I’m a trauma informed clinician who uses an integrative therapy framework. This means I use multiple different frameworks and fuse them together to your needs in a flexible way. I include frameworks such as attachment theory, somatic psychotherapy, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral informed therapy, and narrative therapy.
You don’t have to fit into the box assigned to you anymore! You can break free! It is an honor and privilege to do this work with you. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your healing journey.
