I believe therapy is a unique experience built on human connection. It is by being in relationship with other people we grow, heal, and learn more about ourselves and I feel it is a great honor to do the work I do with my clients each day.
I am a bisexual, asexual, and polyamorous woman raised within the Evangelical church. My own struggles finding a therapist who understood the unique intersections of my identity eventually led me into a career change to try and better serve people with similar lived experiences. Since then, I have worked to expand my knowledge to better serve people who have traditionally felt marginalized or pathologized by society. I use an eclectic approach with clients, integrating elements of narrative therapy, parts work, somatic work, CBT, and ACT. I work from a trauma informed and intersectional lens and believe you are the expert on your own life and experiences.
I have worked extensively with LGBTQIA+ individuals, especially those still exploring their own identities or navigating the process of coming out. I specialize in working with people on the asexuality spectrum who are seeking to better understand their own experience of sexual attraction and how to navigate relationships as an ace person.
If you are non-monogamous, polyamorous, or exploring the idea of non-traditional relationship structures, I welcome you here. I work with clients who are exploring non-monogamy for the first time or who are seeking support from an informed therapist. I am also well versed in kink and BDSM and affirming of sex work as real and valid work.
I specialize in working with religious trauma syndrome, spiritual abuse, and people harmed by Evangelical purity culture. No matter where you are on your journey through deconstruction, I want to support you along this journey. I work from a sex positive framework and believe deeply in the process of reclaiming your own spirituality and body for yourself – whatever that may look like.
Most of my clients are neurodivergent, and many were labeled as “gifted kids” and are now struggling with burnout. If you are seeking to better understand the unique ways your mind works or need space to process the “high achieving student to burned out adult” pipeline, I would love to support you on that journey.
My goal is to provide a non-judgemental space for each client where they can explore their feelings, thoughts, and who they are. I work with adults, couples, and children over the age of 12. I am excited to meet you and see what we can accomplish together!
